It has been years since I used my water colored pencils because I lacked the right kind of paper. My teacher gave me a piece when I brought my pencils to college and I create this beaut! I had trouble with my strokes, though. Every time I add a new layer of color and apply water, it would wash off. Plus, every first stroke washes some pencil off and it can't be re-applied. I hope to get answers since I may use this media again.
Anyways, this is my first masterpiece featuring my Irish-Aussie OC and I might as well take some time explaining who this guy is (or could be since I'm still playing around with ideas). His father is from Australia and his mother is mostly Irish and heavily influenced with her nationality. The parents met when mom took a trip to the land down under. They eventually married in the US and have Dave and his two sisters. The sisters enjoy outdoor exploration while Dave preferred to stay indoors and play on his guitar. Dave was the first to graduate highschool, but he was overwhelmed by the complex after-school life that lies ahead. He left the home and moved into a far away patch of forest to live as a hermit because he believes that people shouldn't pay to do anything an animal can do for free like eat. He goes to the nearby city to play the guitar on the streets and sleep in the homeless shelter during the cold winter. The limerick explains a bit more about the man.
Critiques on the artwork and the character are more than welcome.
